the release of the long awaited wine from John Lodge
- "Krisemma".
Produced in the Napa Valley under the
watchful eye of Behrens & Hitchcock Winery, Krisemma
is a red wine blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Merlot
and Cabernet Franc. It is a big, powerful Bordeaux style
blend, the trademark of great wines from Behrens & Hitchcock
such as Ode to Picasso, Cuvee Lola, and a long history
of outstanding vineyard designated Napa Valley wines.
Although Krisemma has yet to be reviewed, Robert Parker
has rated many Behrens & Hitchcock wines in the 96
to 100 point category . . . "An extraordinary wine
of profound and complex character displaying all the
attributes expected of a classic wine of its variety." Krisemma
continues this tradition.
A 2002 vintage wine, we recommend laying
it down for at least 2-4 years and feel it will develop
nicely for 10 or more years. It is a wine to be set aside
for a special occasion (a birth, a wedding, John's birthday,
etc.)
Krisemma is available for $100 per
