John winning Captains Day of the Variety Club of Great Britain at Walton Heath Golf Course Surrey England..a "proud moment"

The Celebrity Masters Tournament at Wentworth. John teamed up with Bobby Davro and Dennis Taylor. The photo was taken on the 10th hole on the West Course - 174 yard par 3 and this was your John's tee shot. Fortunately for him, he did actually sink the putt for a birdie!

John presented 2 more coaches this month on behalf of the Variety Club of Great Britain.

the coach below was in Jerry's name and was sponsored by John Spurling at the Ladies & Gents Day at Kingswood on the 2nd July. John Spurling felt that it was appropriate to present a coach in Jerry's name as he's retiring (Jerry Stevens that is) at the end of September.

"John outside the original Wurlitzer factory at Tonawanda. John's pride and joy is his Wurlitzer 1015 (1946!) juke box which plays 78 records! He was really pleased to find the factory still there."

The band will be playing a special performance on April 1st, 2006 at the Seneca Niagara Casino & Hotel. Due to the nature of this performance we are unable to hold a Presale, but tickets will be sold through Ticketmaster starting this Monday March 6th, 2006 at 5pm.

On Sunday, December 4th 2005 John received the honour of becoming the Captain of the Variety Club of Great Britains Golfing Society...
The V.C. of G.B. G. Society's "Black tie" Stag Dinner was held at the Royal Lancaster Hotel in London where John was "roasted" as the incoming Captain. (read the letter)
